We are seeking an experienced Family Law Clerk to join our firm for a 12-month contract position. Our Family Law Group has quality and diverse files that provide challenging, fast-paced and interesting work in a dynamic, collegial team environment. What you will be doing:

• Preparing, assembling, and organizing legal documents, including but not limited to pleadings, case briefs, financial statements, Net Family Property (NFP) statements, affidavits of documents, motions, and separation/cohabitation agreements
• Filing court documents in compliance with procedural rules
• Maintaining document files and case correspondence both physically and electronically
• Managing court dates, litigation deadlines, and lawyers' calendars
• Liaising with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals
• Conducting searches as required
• Adhering to all firm policies, guidelines, and statutory requirements
• Attending and participating in team and supervisory meetings
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of a post-secondary Law Clerk or Paralegal Program
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in family law
• Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act (FLA), Children's Law Reform Act (CLRA), Divorce Act (DA), Family Responsibility and Support Arrears Enforcement Act (FRSAEA), and the Family Law Rules
• Strong understanding of legal reference materials, the Ontario Court Filing Portal, and Case Center (formerly CaseLines)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, DivorceMate, and legal practice management software; experience with LEAP is considered an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong time-management, organizational and document/file management skills

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional client service skills, and can confidently manage files with minimal supervision.

Expected compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
